What an exciting time we have in Terms 3 and 4.
We begin the term with our topic 'Blast Off!'. As part of this topic we explore the story book 'Man on The Moon'. We also investigate real astronauts and collect research from different sources. This helps us when we then write our own books about the life of Neil Armstrong. We continue to explore materials as part of this work and begin to look at their properties.
Continuing from Terms 1 and 2 we will continue to observe our surroundings and environment. As part of this work we look for signs of winter and then spring. We look at plans of the school and how they relate to the actual school building. We will continue to identify plants and trees in our school environment and describe basic plant structures.
We are excited about our artwork making 3D spaceships using maths solid shapes and producing some spring pictures.
We end Term 3 with Arts Week and this year our theme is 'The Caribbean'. As part of our learning this week, we experiment with different styles of art and music. We have lots of visitors too and we have the opportunity to ask lots of questions and find out information.
Our 'Blast Off!' topic then continues throughout Term 4.
