Breakfast Club and After School Club

Meadowside Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast provides children with the opportunity to socialise and make new friends, in a safe welcoming environment where they can learn, develop and have fun.

The Breakfast Club starts from 7.30am (term-time only) and is for children from Reception up to the age of 8.

Before school, the children will be able to get involved in a range of activities such as reading, writing and playing a variety of games before we take them to school.

Backwell Out of School Club

Backwell Out of School Club is an independent well-established club, which provides a warm welcome to children at the end of their school day, with opportunities for play and relaxation in a friendly environment.

The club is offered to children from Reception to Year 2. Open Monday-Friday between 3.05pm and 6.00pm. The children are brought up to the school hall by the teachers at the end of the school day.

We are situated at West Leigh in the school hall but have the use of the children's kitchen, Library area and the space directly outside the hall.  We provide a choice of supervised activities throughout the session offering cooking and crafts activities.  However, we do recognise that some children are tired at the end of the school day and therefore will be encouraged to choose their activities, whether that be joining a group activity or playing with toys and materials available or simply resting in the quiet area with a book.

We have the use of West Leigh’s secure playground area, where there is ample space and opportunities for outside play, team games and other sports.

We provide a healthy snack during the afternoon and drinks are available throughout the session.

Full and part-time sessions are available.  Payment is termly or monthly and childcare vouchers are accepted.

Places are limited to availability so if you require a place please contact us as soon as possible. When offered a place we then ask parents to fill out a registration form and ask for £50 holding fee which is refundable with your first invoice.

Please note we do not generally take reception children until they are in full time school, however individual requirements can be discussed with the Club Manager.
