Welcome back to 3AJ's class page!
This term, we have been learning different methods for multiplication and division. This unit can be quite tricky but we have persevered brilliantly! We used dienes, place value counters, diagrams and written methods to solve a variety of problems. Lots of us moved onto applying our understanding to reasoning and problem solving – which is fantastic!
Savage Stone Age
Our new topic is the Savage Stone Age!
We have really enjoyed the start of this topic. We have had lots of opportunities to go outside and get creative!
In science, we collected different types of rock from all around the school and then grouped them in different ways using Venn diagrams. We have learnt all about igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rock and we have learnt about how rock was used during the Stone Age.
In topic, we have researched Stone Age homes and created beautiful Stone Age cave paintings!
Our drawings were created using chalk or charcoal on sugar paper. We hope you like them!
We finished our gymnastics unit in style this term by performing our excellent pieces to one another. Each well-rehearsed routine included a variety of rolls, travels, jumps and balances. We have loved gymnastics but we can’t wait to start swimming in term four!
