Our topic this term is The World and so far we have learnt all about the earth’s layers – the crust, the mantle, the outer core and the inner core.
We have looked at the oceans and continents and are going to be finding out how mountains are formed, how earthquakes happen and what happens when a volcano explodes! Wish us luck!
In Literacy we have completed a unit about graffiti. We have had some great discussion about whether graffiti should be encouraged or not! We wrote information texts about the history of graffiti and the types of graffiti you can find!
We have also written to a school in Bristol who arrived one day to find that Banksy had painted on one of their playground walls! We are looking forward to hearing their replies about how they felt and what they thought of the painting! After that we looked at the arguments and counter-arguments for graffiti. We came up with lots of great ideas that we used to write our own balanced argument.
For our homework we created our own graffiti tags and we now have our very own graffiti wall that we have been adding to daily!
Our first week back of maths was INSPIRATIONAL! We spent 3 days looking at maths in a different way – seeing patterns visually as well as numbers. Every day was different and interesting - come and see our hall display for more details!
We are really enjoying our learning this term!
Looking forward to sharing more of our learning next time!
