WORLD BOOK DAY
We focused on the Julia Donaldson book, 'Tiddler' and dressed up in the ocean theme! Sadly we only got half a day due to the snow, but we still managed to cram lots in. We made rhyming couplet story books which we have shared with the Year 2's. Some of us created ocean scenes using Paint on the laptops, whilst others wrote stories and poems based on the book. We had lots of fun!
Year 4 Trip to Caerleon Roman Museum, Amphitheatre and Baths
On Friday 16th March year 4 headed across to Wales to visit a Roman amphitheatre, baths and museum. We had so much fun exploring and finding out more about how the Romans lived. We acted out gladiator fights in the amphitheatre and learnt more about schooling and life in the barracks. We enjoyed sketching artefacts in the museum and were particularly taken by the skeleton and stone coffin that was excavated nearby! The baths were a fascinating visit and we enjoyed watching the silent movies which we found pretty funny!
We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who kindly gave up their time to join us on our adventure.
