5. SPaG - inverted commas
LI: use inverted commas correctly
By the end of year 3 we are aiming for ‘some use of inverted commas to punctuate direct speech.’
We have done a lot of work on direct speech (speech marks) in class.
Please complete one of the sheets on inverted commas. You can either print the sheet or copy each question out into your book. The sheet suggests using just one inverted comma (‘speech’). We have been using two (“speech”) in school.
The answer sheet is at the bottom of the document. Carefully check your answers with an adult when you have finished your challenge.
