Homework
Times Tables
Every Monday we will have a Times Tables test. All children in Year 3 will be starting with their 2 Times Tables. Please help your child learn the 2 Times Tables facts (from 0 x 2 up to 12 x 2). Once your child has scored 26/26, twice, they will move onto the next times tables fact. We will keep you informed of their progress.
Remember to keep using TTrockstars at home!
Reading
Please continue to listen to your child read each week. The minimum expectation is three times per week but the more they read, the more house points they are able to earn!
Spelling
We will be focusing on spelling patterns in class. The patterns may change each week or we may work on a pattern for a number of weeks.
Homework will be given out and discussed with the children on a Wednesday to ensure they are clear on the tasks.
Spelling homework is due in on a Monday.
Please see an example of a spelling homework sheet below.
Each will have some 'look, say, cover, write' words and an investigation or small task linked to the spelling pattern.
