Lockdown with Mrs Bowden-Green and Mrs Jarvis!
If your birthday is coming up,
keep an eye on your parent/carer's email inbox!
Mrs Bowden-Green and I really hope you're enjoying Health and Fitness week!
It's a shame we can't enjoy it together at school but it looks like you're all making the most of it at home!
I have been busy baking this week. I have made some healthy(ish) dark chocolate and banana biscuits and some (very UNhealthy) flapjacks! As you can see from my previous blog post, there are lots of strawberries growing in my garden at the moment and they are just about to ripen. Oli emailed us this week and mentioned that he has made some homemade jam! That has inspired me to try and make my own when my strawberries are ready! Wish me luck!
I hope you are all well! Mrs BG and I have been regularly checking Mr Webster's blog to see what you have been up to; it's nice to see so many of you working hard and having fun! We have also really enjoyed the email updates we have had from you through our new year 3 email address. If you haven't already, please get in contact with us and let us know how you have been getting on - we miss you!
Over the past week, I have been making the most of the sun (which is lucky because it has suddenly become very windy!). I have been in the garden with my family playing games, watering the plants, pulling up weeds and planting seeds. I love my garden it was one of the big reasons we decided to move to this house. Lots of it was already here when we moved in (like the pond and the fruit trees) but Mr Jarvis put in the veg patch, the flowers and all the pots and troughs.
Hopefully seeing the plants on a sunny day will make you feel cheerful.
(Although, it looks like our wild flower patch could do with a water!!!)
Keep up the hard work and can't wait to see you all again!
Thanks to all of you who've emailed us already - we've loved hearing what you've been up to! If you haven't had a chance yet, don't worry, maybe you could ask someone at home to help you send a sentence or two?
Apart from my castle (did you guess that I'd made it out of cereal boxes?) I've been enjoying spending time with my family. We've been going for lots of walks on the River Path near our house and it's been great to see everything looking green and summery over the last couple of weeks.
I've also been helping my son with his home learning. He's not always too keen to do it - I expect some of your parents know exactly what that's like! - but we've been doing a little bit each day. I've even tried to do Joe Wicks every day. Have any of you been doing the workouts too?
Here are some of the other things that I've been enjoying: sewing Easter chicks for my boys, building Lego, collecting sticks on our walks to make dens and stick towns in the garden, jumping on the trampoline, colouring in and playing with my son's Gravitrax set. I've even had a haircut from Mr BG!
I've been enjoying teaching at West Leigh on Mondays but it's definitely not the same as seeing you all at BJS! Hopefully we'll see each other soon,
Hi 3JB. I hope you're all well!
Apart from school work, I have been keeping myself very busy with lots of cooking, gardening, home improvements, activities with my daughter (you can see her lovely 'rainbows' below!) and building a (slightly creepy!) scarecrow for my vegetable patch. I've also enjoyed lots of lovely walks. Haven't we been lucky with the weather!? Although, as soon as I inflated my paddling pool, the rain started! That's always the way!
I hope you've been enjoying yourselves and have had a chance to enjoy the sun.
