Welcome to Rabbit Class!
It has been really great to welcome all the children back to school. They have all seemed delighted to catch up with their friends again and are settling into the new routines and expectations of Year 1 cheerfully and enthusiastically.
We have already started to look at a special book called 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffer's and have enjoyed sharing photographs of things that are special to all of us. We shall shortly be starting work on our focused text 'The Snail and the Whale' and shall look forward to finding out about snails in science.
Please find some information below related to Rabbit Class arrangements:
There are 30 of us, along with our teachers Mrs Chaffe (Monday-Wednesday) and Mrs Wilson (Thursday-Friday) and our Teaching Assistant Mrs Cottle.
We have P.E. every Wednesday and may fit in other sessions so please make sure you have your full P.E. kit in school at all times. Please could you check that all PE items are labelled with your child's name.
The children will be learning to change their own reading books with a parent helper. Books will be changed every Monday and will need to be returned on a Friday. Please record in your child's reading record whenever they read?
Please ensure that all home collection arrangements have been logged in the 'Going Home' file.
Although things are a little different these days please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further queries and we will do our very best to answer them. We are looking forward to working with you and would like to thank you for your continued support during this time.
Mrs Wilson and Mrs Chaffe
