In maths, we have been learning all about … FRACTIONS! Fractions is not an easy topic, but we have all tackled it really well! We have learnt a lot over the last 5 weeks – we proved this by completing Miss Hullah’s fraction pizza problems. We found them tricky, but we really enjoyed the reward… a pizza party!
This term we started our new topic – The Savage Stone Age!
We have really enjoyed the topic so far, because we have had the chance to complete lots of exciting, arty and hands on activities. We particularly enjoyed hunting for natural materials, to make Stone Age art work and making our own Stone Age Top Trumps! We can’t wait to see what next term brings.
In science we have been learning about rocks, fossils and soil. We took part in an experiment to test the permeability of rocks. We wanted to know which rocks were the most absorbent, and we had a great time finding out!
We have just finished our gymnastics unit, in PE. We performed pieces to one another that needed to include: jumps, rolls, travelling and balances. We used the equipment in the hall to make our pieces more interesting and challenging.
As a treat, for accumulating 40 class points, we made dens in the classroom! It was amazing!!
We have really enjoyed term 3 and we can’t wait to see what term 4 brings!!
