To our wonderful Year 3s,
Firstly, we are so proud of you all for your hard work and how well you have coped with this strange new way of learning! Well done and thank you to you and to adults at home.
As we start a new term of this strange new 'school', we know you will continue to amaze us with your determination, perseverance and positive attitudes.
As you may already know, home learning will be taking on a different format in Term 6. Planning will still be uploaded onto the website each Friday but it will look slightly different to your previous home learning.
As a result of the changes, we won’t be having a set focus on the rainforests as we normally do in Term 6. However, please continue to explore rainforests at home if you would like to! We know many of you had enjoyed some of the rainforest project work we had set last term. Please note, Term 4 and 5 planning and resources can still be found on the main year three home learning page, should you want them.
As always, keep us updated with what you are getting up to! We are still here if you need anything, just ask a parent to help you to send an email to us on the Year 3 account.
We have high expectations of our children and we would like this to be continued in their Home Learning books.
For every piece of work we would expect to see:
- Date and title underlined with a ruler
(long date for English and topic work and short date for maths)
- Neatest handwriting (joined for many)
- Mistakes crossed out with a ruler or rubbed out carefully
- Neat colouring
Please do not allow children to write in pen, gel pen, felt tip etc for maths or English tasks.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
