General expectations
We have high expectations of our children and we would like this to be continued in their Home Learning books.
For every piece of work we would expect to see:
- Date and title underlined with a ruler
(long date for English and topic work and short date for maths)
- Neatest handwriting (joined for many)
- Mistakes crossed out with a ruler or rubbed out carefully
- Neat colouring
Please do not allow children to write in pen, gel pen, felt tip etc for maths or English tasks.

Handwriting reminder!
In school we have looked at making sure we join our letter 'r' correctly when using cursive handwriting.
Here is a handy reminder on what your letter 'r' should and should not look like when joining.
Watch this quick 'how to' video of Miss J writing an 'r' in cursive writing.
(It might look different when you write if you are right handed and you might hold your pencil differently to me!)
If you are finding cursive writing tricky, particularly the letter 'r', then just join the letters you feel confident with and build it up over time.
Please continue to use your handwriting packs if you need an additional activity to those planned below.
These are screen shots from the online 'Oak Academy' powerpoint.
You may find them useful so you do not have to click backwards and forwards on the slides.
Computing - E-Safety
A few weeks ago we sent home an email which suggested a website you could use for your e-safety learning. We hope you have been finding this useful. The website release new videos and activities every fortnight so please continue to check in for new resources as keeping safe online is even more relevant now you are using your devices so much more at home.
We have included the link below - you can also access all previous weeks learning in case you have missed any or not yet had a chance to take a look.
Please only access this website with adult support as they will need to guide you to resources in the correct age range.
