Topic project - Week beginning 4th May
This week we would you like to use four days to research and create a project about the layers of the rainforest!
Activity 1
L.I: Identify the layers of the rainforest
First, have a look at this powerpoint which explains each layer:
Main activity
L.I: Explore the species in the different rainforest layers
We would like you to research the different layers and find out about the different plants and animals which live and grow in each.
Use a double page spread of your book and turn it round (A3 portrait)
Draw a cross section of the rainforest showing each layer
Label each layer, explaining the conditions in each (what it is like)
Include animals which would live in each layer
Label the plants and animals in each layer
You could even include flaps for extra information and fact boxes!
Colour it in! (colouring pencils please)
Please take your time!
This project should take you 3 days to complete.
