What an exciting time we have in Terms 3 and 4.
We begin the term with our topic 'Up in the Air!'. As part of this topic we explore the story book 'Bob, Man on The Moon'. We also investigate real astronauts and collect research from different sources. This helps us when we then write our own books about the life of Neil Armstrong. We continue to explore materials as part of this work and begin to look at their properties.
Continuing from Terms 1 and 2 we will continue to observe our surroundings and environment. As part of this work we look for signs of winter and then spring. We look at plans of the school and how they relate to the actual school building. We will continue to identify plants and trees in our school environment and describe basic plant structures.
We are excited about our artwork making 3D flying saucers and producing some starry night pictures.
We end Term 3 with Arts Week and this year our theme is 'Japan'. As part of our learning this week, we experiment with different styles of art, music and dance.
Our 'Up in the Air!' topic then continues throughout Term 4.
