Year Four Homework
As in year 3, children are expected to read at least 3 times a week with an adult (this should be recorded in their reading record).
Children can earn housepoints if they read 3 times or more. To receive their housepoints, reading records need to be given in every MONDAY morning.
If you have any comments about your child's book or book band please write these into the record and a member of staff will respond.
Children have been reminded of which times table they got up to in year three.
This week, please can children revise the times tables they have already mastered.
For example, if your child has reached their 3 times table, please can they practise the 2, 10, 5 and 3 times table.
The order of tables are as follows:
2, 10, 5, 3, 4, 8, 6, 9, 7, 11, 12
To limit the amount of paper and books leaving and entering school, spellings will now be set online.
This week, please can children revise the following homophones:
there they're their
to too two
Children will take part in a short assessment each week.
This will not always be a traditional spelling test.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
