Challenges – only answer question numbers listed for your chosen challenge Ref challenge: Ch1: complete questions: 1, 2, 3 & 5 from Day 3 Workbook. Then complete the Decimal pyramids challenges page 1 only. Ch2: complete questions: 3, 4, 5 & 6 from Day 3 Workbook. Then complete the Decimal pyramids challenges page 3 only. Ch3: complete questions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 Day 3 Workbook. Then complete the Decimal pyramids challenges page 5 only. Extension: Dice challenge - Roll a dice three times to create a 3 digit/1 decimal place number. Roll three times again but this time to create a 3 digit/ 2 decimal place number. Subtract the smaller number from the larger. E.g. If I roll 3,4,6 - I could make my first number to be 46.3 If I roll again and this time have 2,6,6 - my second number could be 6.26 I would then subtract 6.26 from 46.3 Repeat 5 times |

Day 5 : Decimal sequences LI: to explain and create decimal sequences

Challenges Ref Ch: Day 5 Ref CH Work sheet (adding on tenths) Ch 1: Day 5 CH1 worksheet Ch 2: Day 5 CH2 worksheet Ch 3: Day 5 CH3 worksheet Extension: Create your own number pattern using addition or subtraction or even a combination of both. The pattern must be at least ten numbers long. You will need to describe your pattern. Super challenge: Can you work out the 20th number in your sequence? What about the 100th? Mega challenge: Can you describe the nth number in your sequence? |
