Maths Aims For This Week:
For this week’s materials you will need access to ‘Pearson Power of Maths ebook’ which can be down loaded by following this link. After agreeing to terms and conditions, it will allow you access to Year 5 materials. The materials you require are taken from Textbook C. Page references are given in the plan below once you have downloaded the book. If you are unable to open this, use the Textbook C (PDF version) to access the material instead.

Day 5 : Investigating translating and reflecting shapes

Select one or more of the activities to complete
Aims: To be last person to be able to place a pentomino piece on the playing board. To prevent your opponent(s) from finding space to place pentomino pieces on the board.
Explore what happens to coordinates when a shape moves. Can you predict new coordinates for the shapes?
