Hello Year 4!
Welcome to Week 6 of Home Learning! It has been great to catch up with some of your news and lovely creative activities through the blog, email and in school. Year 4 are certainly a talented and imaginative group of people!

Hopefully you have been able to spend some time enjoying this wonderful Spring season we are in. It has been lovely to discover so many different local walks and experience the soothing sights, smells and sounds of the wonderful Spring hedgerow flowers and busy birds.
We know you are all managing to keep working hard. Be proud of yourselves and remember to take some time to relax and have fun. Don’t forget to keep sharing your amazing achievements!

Today the story will be read by the wonderful Mrs Withers! We're going to listen carefully to the story and learn more about how to recognise a witch.

Describe or draw what you think a typical witch might look like. Once you have finished explain your drawings or descriptions to an adult or sibling!

“What is a witchophile, Grandmamma?’
‘A person who studies witches and knows a lot about them.’
• Explain to the children that they are now going to become witchophiles.
• Tell the children that, as witchophiles, it is their job to tell the world about witches.
Create a poster to warn people about witches and to explain how to recognise a witch.
•Make it eye catching •Include a variety of sentences to explain how to spot a witch. •Include pictures and perhaps a labelled diagram •Title – Bold and Stand out! |

Follow the link to the grasslands habitat Homework Help page and look at the powerpoint ‘All About Grasslands.’ What is a grassland and what lives there? Find out where in the world they are located.
Grasslands have different names depending on type and location – can you learn some of them?
